WE SHOULD ALL HAVE JET ENGINES

Some people looked at the JET BBQ and got put of by all the pipes

Now i by any means am not a genius and my knowledge of things is limited compared to others but i still built a turbo jet engine that ran and worked, no doubt others could build it better but it did work. So when some of the comments on my jet bbq walkthrough video read "i was gonna make one of these,...seems too complicated now. hmmm i bet ill find something to do with the turbo i salvaged though"
This made me think that even through some peoples eyes this was to hard for them so the idea of the no weld jet engine was born.

Ok first thing i'll say sorry for the sideways pics for some reason the F&%£ING computer will not rotate them but i digress. OK the video is a pretty good descriptive piece of help and all i'll add at the moment is if you can get a flexible pipe thats as near as possible to the outlet size of turbo this will help (vacuum cleaner hose etc) and also if possible if you take the turbo of the car keep the oil connector hoses then you can have the oil tank as high as possible to give better pressure. Here are some extra pics which may help.

HOLY FLURKIN SHNIT IT WORKED

My excitment in the video was very realsorry above video does not seem to work

When this thing finally started and stayed running without help from the compressor or leaf blower i felt like i'd discovered a new plant or solved the worlds energy crisis but no i'd just made something which a few months ago i thought was a very complex and difficult engine to build yet i,ve now proven this is not the case (which has caused some debate). Now this engine by any means does not work that great in that it most likely does not produce much thrust etc but the point of all this is just to hear the sound as if you think about it even the well made versions that people have put in shopping trolleys, go carts etc if you wanted to go fast you would use a motorbike engine. So some people will have spotted 2 additions to the jet which is a bead of silicone round the turbo as it bolts to the housing, i added this when it didn't run (before i added fatter inlet tube) and this is probably not necessary as it all burnt of and still started and ran without it. The other is the lovely chain wrapped around the whole thing, this kinda served 2 purposes 1 to pull turbo on to housing and get better seal but again this may not have been needed and 2 when these engines start they can start with quite a pop and as the  only thing holding the end on is gaffer tape it kinda served as a strap to hold it together either at start or once the tape has melted (it keeps you on the edge this one hehe) . So there we go a jet engine made with no welder and out of stuff from the high street, not bad for a plumber i'd say.

The new fat tube which made the difference
